We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible Accountant to join our Accounting Department in the shipping and freight forwarding industry.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records, managing customer and supplier accounts, monitoring shipping and transport costs, handling invoicing, assisting with VAT compliance, and supporting monthly closing procedures, financial reporting, and external audits.

The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines while ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable accounting and tax regulations in Cyprus.

Duties:

• Accounting entries of purchases, sales, expenses
• Debtor monitoring
• Correct handling of VAT entries
• Reconciliation of accounts of banks, creditors, debtors
• Issuance of invoices and credit notes

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years of experience in accounting or accounting office (experience in similar position will be considered an additional advantage)
• LCCI Higher Level (or equivalent/higher qualification)
• Good knowledge of excel
• Good knowledge of Greek language
• Good knowledge of English language
